Donations

The UCPL accepts donations of cash and other materials to help to fulfill the mission of the library. Donors may not request the specific use to which their gifts will be put; gifts will be used for operating or capital purposes at the Board’s discretion. The library retains unconditional ownership of all gifts and reserves the right to reject any gift. All donations to the UCPL are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Gifts of books and other materials are welcome but in order for those materials to be added to the library’s collection, they must meet the standards for purchased materials. The library reserves the right to sell or dispose of donated materials not needed for the collections. If you have a very large donation of books or materials, please contact us in advance so that we may prepare adequate space.
