Get a Library card
An Adair County Public Library card may be obtained by bringing a photo ID with your current Adair County address into the Library. If you are an Adair County resident there is no charge for a card. If you are not an Adair County resident there is an annual fee of $30 except for those owning land in Adair County. Please bring your paid county tax receipt with you. If you do not have a photo ID with your current address, bring in something with your current address (i.e. mail with your name and address, lease, or checkbook). You will be given a Library card and may check out 2 items that day.
Log in to My Account
Click on the 'My Account' tab under the Search box. Enter your Library ID (number underneath the barcode on your Library card) with no spaces and your PIN (last four digits of your phone number). Once logged in, you can create an EZ Username and EZ Password.
Find My PIN
Your pin for various library resources consists of the last four digits of your telephone number that the library has on file. Need help reseting? Call us and we can reset your pin on your account.
Renew items
Items can be renewed at the library, over the phone (665-6038) or online. When logged in to your account, click on the 'Account Activity' tab and select items for renewal by clicking in the box to the right of the item. Once the items to be renewed are selected, click on the 'Renew' link at the top right of the list.
Download eBooks
Check out our tutorial videos on our website for helpful hints. Please call the Library (665-6038) or stop by for assistance with downloading eBooks and audiobooks, hoopla digital, and Axis 360 online resources.
Access wi-fi
Wi-fi is free throughout the building. We have the password posted.
Get items from another library
Patrons can request items the Library doesn't own through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The ILL form is located under the Services tab. Patrons may request up to three interlibrary loans per calendar month. There is no charge for this service.
Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials Procedure
To have an item in our collection reviewed by the Library Director for content concerns, please print and complete this form--"Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials". Once returned to the library, the library director will review the form and discuss it with the concerned party. If that decision is not suitalble, the Library Board of Trustees will discuss the item.
Donate items
All gifts to the Adair County Public Library are tax deductible. Items may be donated to the Library and will either be put into the collection or given to the Friends of the Adair County Public Library for their monthly book sales.
Print/Copy/Fax
Printing from the public access computers is $0.25/black and white page and $0.50/color page. Black and white copies are $0.10/page and color copies are $0.25/page. Faxing costs $2 for the first page and $1 for every accompanying page.
