The Stokes Brown Public Library is seeking a 

Family Literacy Librarian

We are seeking an energetic individual to serve the educational and social needs of children and families in a fun, community centered environment. Main duties include conducting programming for kids aged 12 and under, suggesting children's materials for purchase, and coordinating a dynamic summer reading program.

This is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position and is eligible for benefits

•  The ideal candidate will possess any combination of experience that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities.  A desirable combination is:

o Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field; and/or three years related experience and/or training
o Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS); or any combination of education and library experience that demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the requirements of the position.

Salary is: $38,573 /yr.
