2024 SUMMER READING CLUB
PROGRAM INFO: This summer, Adventure Begins at Your Library!
If you register online for our Summer Reading Club, stop by the library to pickup your free Adventure Passport! Inside, you’ll find a schedule of events, your reading tracker, and activities for each week of our Summer Reading Club!
As you track your reading, bring your passport to the library to get stamps from library staff when you hit reading milestones on your tracker on pages 6 and 7. Each stamp will earn you a ticket for a chance to win prizes at our Wrap-Up Party on Tuesday, July 30! Click here for a video walk-through of our brand-new adventure passports!
The LAST DAY to earn stamps is Friday, July 26.
All of our Summer of Adventure Readers are invited to join us at the Wrap-Up Party on Tuesday, July 30. Raffle drawings will begin at 10:30 a.m., and we’ll have goody bags and a free book for every reader.
We can’t wait for a Summer of Adventure with you!
SIGN UP: You may sign up at the Library beginning June 3, but we recommend coming to our Kickoff Party on June 11 at 10 a.m!

Children's Events:
June:
11 - SRC Kickoff Party featuring Paleo Joe! @ 10am
Visit the library to sign up for SRC, get your passport, and learn about dinosaurs!
18 - Adventure Packs @ 10am
Make an Adventure Journal, a compass, and a bag to collect items on your outdoor adventures!
22 - Princess & Pirates Tea Parrrty @ 11am
registration required - Put on your best princess dress or pirate costume, then join us for our Princess and Pirates Tea Party! We provide tea, juice, and a snack; stick around to make a craft and go doubloon hunting!
25 - MESS-tival @ 10am
Join us on the library’s front lawn for lots of messy fun! Mud, foam, slime, and more - be sure to wear your play clothes!
July:
2 - Constellation Jars @ 10am
Join us at the library to make a unique craft! You‘ll have your choice of either a constellation in a jar or a galaxy in a jar. All materials provided!
9 - StarDogs Astronomy Planetarium shows!
StarDogs Astronomy is bringing a mobile planetarium to the library for a limited number of shows beginning at 10a.m.!
Registration required - opens June 24
16 - Big Bubble Dance Party @ 10am
All ages will enjoy playing with a huge variety of bubble wands while dancing to family-friendly music as bubble machines create thousands of bubbles all around! Featuring Joel Tacey of Tiptop Entertainment.
19 - Life-Size Candy Land, 12pm-6pm
20 - Life-Size Candy Land, 11am-3pm
Walk through the colorful road to sweet surprises in this classic game that features YOU as the gingerbread man mover!
23 - Teddy Bear Picnic @ 10am
Bring your favorite teddy bear to the library for a picnic on the front lawn! We‘ll have a storytime at 10:30, yard games, crafts, snacks, and raffle off a giant teddy bear at 11:30!
30 - SRC Wrap-Up Party @ 10am
You hit your reading goals - it‘s time to celebrate! Join us for giveaways (beginning at 10:30am), snacks, plus a goody bag and free book for every reader!
Teen Events (grades 7-12):
June:
17 - TEEN SRC Kickoff @ 4pm
Sign up for summer reading, enjoy a snack, and watch a movie!
24 - TEENS: Cryptid Terrariums @ 4 pm
Put a cryptid twist on the classic terrarium! We’ll have miniature cryptids, trees, and other materials available for you to create your perfect piece of decor!
July:
1 - TEENS: Mysterium Manor Escape Room @ 4pm
Welcome to Manor Mysterium, the once grand abode of the late Reginald Ashford. His recent death, a sinister case of poisoning, has transformed this stately manor into an eerie den of darkness and uncertainty. Only your sharp intellect can illuminate the malevolent secrets that lurk within these chilling walls.
8 - TEENS: Nailed It! Cupcake Decorating @ 4pm
You‘ve seen the viral cupcakes online - now it‘s your turn to recreate them! All materials provided.
15 - TEEN SRC Wrap Up Party @ 4pm
Join us for pizza and a movie, plus a goody bag and free book for everyone who meets their reading goal!
