CHIPPEWA RIVER DISTRICT LIBRARY REOPENING PLAN

CRDL is currently in Phase 1

Phase 1 -
June 15, 2020

Curbside pickup is available at all branch locations. Buildings will remain closed to the public. Staff will wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and practice social distancing.

CRDL will be following CDC guidelines to ensure that library items are safe to handle. While the risk of them transmitting COVID-19 is very, very low, we will take the precaution of setting returned items aside for 72 hours before processing them.

Beyond the curbside pickup, no other in-branch services will be offered under this level.

Digital services and virtual events, including the Summer Reading Club, will continue.

Phase 2 -
TBD

Next, as we move beyond curbside pickup, limited in-branch services will be provided.

The use of public computers will be allowed with social distancing guidelines. Study rooms will be available for use by one individual per room. No in-branch events will be provided.

Digital services and virtual events will continue.

Phase 3 -
TBD

Regular library services and hours will resume with any recommended social distancing guidelines still in place.

The timeframe for when we will move from one level to the next will be determined based on recommendations from health officials and how prepared we are to do so. CRDL will work to make sure the library is as safe as possible for patrons and Library staff.

Changes to our level of services will be communicated on our website and through email and social media. You can also contact your branch directly.
