Library Children's Rules

The Fort Berthold Reservation Library is a place for learning and personal enrichment. People use the Library for purposes of leisure reading, educational pursuits, and study; therefore, disruptive noise and activity is not allowed.  If a child breaks any of the following rules they will advised to quit the disruptive behavior.  If the child fails to quit they will be told to leave the building. 

  • During the School day (8:00 am - 3:45 pm) children may not be in the library without the direct supervision of an adult. 
  • Children under the age of 7 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Running around or disruptive playing in the Library is not allowed.
  • Causing loud noises or yelling is not allowed.
  • Children under 7 will be allowed the use of the computers, typewriters, or micro-fiches machines only if they are accompanied by or under direct supervision of an adult.
  • No pop, candy, sunflower seeds, or other foods in the Library.
  • Use of foul or abusive language is not allowed.
  • Use chairs or floor to sit on, sitting on computer tables or counters is not allowed.
