How to get a Sheffield library card

What you need:
A drivers license with your current address on it or a picture ID and mail such as a utility bill, cable bill, etc. with your name and current address. (A parent must sign for a child under 16.)

What you do:
Come to the library and fill out a registration card.

You will receive a card for your wallet .

With your Sheffield library card you can checkout books, audiobooks, and DVDs.

You can access on-line resources such as e-books, e-magazines, e-audiobooks, and newspapers, stream and download music, movies, TV shows, comic books and take on-line classes.

Login to your account to reserve books, renew books, check due dates, and fines.

E-Service Cards:

You can sign up on line for a Sheffield Public Library e-Services card. You will receive and e-mail with your card number and pin number. Your physical card will be mailed to you. This card can be used to access all our on-line services. It cannot be used to check out physical items from the library. It can be upgraded to a full service card when you come to the library. To upgrade, bring your card to the library or bring a drivers license with your current address on it or a picture ID and mail such as a utility bill, cable bill, etc. with your name and current address. .
