About the Library
Dayton Public Library has many things to offer:

- eBooks and electronic audio books available through OverDrive (BRIDGES is our state-wide consortium that purchases the OverDrive platform and eBooks)
- FAX INCOMING 10 cents per page
- FAX OUTGOING $1 first page; 25 cents per additional page; no charge for cover sheet or toll-free numbers
- Copy machine [10 cents per page]
- Wi-fi LaserJet printer [first 10 pages free; then .10 per page]
- Scanner (scans to email or USB)
- Books: picture, beginning/easy readers, early chapter books, middle school, young adult, large print, Christian fiction, NY Times best sellers, westerns, romance, non-fiction, biography, juvenile non-fiction, suspense, thriller, fantasy, cozy mystery
- CD audio books
- DVD rentals: New DVDs weekly [$1 per DVD for 7 days]
- Gale, Credo and Transparent Language for research/online periodicals
- Brainfuse: ignite your mind (academic tutoring to career coaching); includes JobNow; LearnNow; Adult Learning Center; VetNow.
- Puzzles free to take
- 20 periodicals (see listing under "Magazines")
- Weekly Dayton Leader and Gowrie News; daily Fort Dodge Messenger
- Summer reading program + summer story time for 8 weeks June-July
- InterLibrary Loans (free): If we don't have the book you're looking for, we can borrow it from another library in the State of Iowa.
- Web-based circulation system interacts with Fort Dodge, Lehigh, Callender, Gowrie, Duncombe, Harcourt, Lake City, Stratford, among others. You may use your Dayton library card at any of the libraries in Webster County.
