Use of Meeting Room
- The building may be used for educational, cultural, civic, and public information events, or any library sponsored program open to the public.
- The use of library space by a group in no way implies library endorsement of ideas, aims, or goals of those groups.
- Anyone may use the facilities free of charge if their meetings are open to the public and are nonprofit. Showers, birthday parties, etc. are not to be held at the library for private individuals.
- Use by any group may be denied if it conflicts with regular library service.
- Arrangement to use the building must be made in advance with the librarian.
- No smoking is allowed in the building.
- No alcoholic drink is allowed.
- Clean up is expected to be done by the user. Anyone leaving the building in a condition that requires janitorial services will be charged for those services.
- A representative from the group should make arrangements with the librarian to pick up the key and be responsible for returning the key.
- An adult must supervise all children’s groups.
- The board is not responsible for accidents, injury or loss of property.
- Groups or individuals must accept responsibility for repair or replacement of damaged or missing library property.
- A copy of the board’s meeting room and building use policy will be available to all users at the librarian’s desk.
