The Robert J. Kleberg Public Library Jennie L. Splawn Genealogy Room collection has many books on families originating from the East coast of the United States. The collection also contains a limited number of books on Mexican-American families from South Texas, including various genealogy records on families from Mexico, primarily from communities bordering the Northern part of Mexico along the state of Texas. The Splawn Genealogy Room collection is for research use only and materials must remain in the Genealogy Room. The genealogy material collection cannot be checked out nor borrowed through Inter-library Loan.
