6: Reciprocal Borrowers
Reciprocal Borrowers
The Library honors the cards of all Illinois libraries. Fox Lake Library card holders may also use these libraries:
If you have recently moved, and now live in the Fox Lake Library District, you are no longer a reciprocal borrower.
- We will issue you a Fox Lake Library card.
- Your old card is no longer valid and must register your Fox Lake card as reciprocal card elsewhere.
- Please bring an accepted form of identification
The Library will also accept paid non-resident cards from other Illinois public libraries participating in reciprocal borrowing programs.
- The full circulating collection of the Library will be available on a reciprocal borrowing basis to patrons of other libraries.
- All reciprocal borrowing use of the Library will be subject to the same rules and regulations as resident patron use.
Reciprocity Limitations:
- Inter-Library Loan requests are available to Fox Lake District resident patrons only. Please contact your home library for more information about Inter-Library Loans.
- New materials are able to be placed on hold by Fox Lake District resident patrons only.
Register your Reciprocal Card:
- Visit the main circulation desk on the first floor.
- Bring your photograph ID and library card from your home library.
- There is no charge to register your reciprocal card.
