Food For Fines
Program Outline
The Food For Fines program is active in September during Library Card Sign Up Month. All are welcome to donate! Visit the Circulation Desk and we will help you with your account.
How it Works
Present the library card that has a balance.
If you do not have your card, a photo ID can be used in its place. Good news! We’ll waive the cost of a replacement card during the month of September.
Donations must be shelf-stable, unexpired, and undamaged.
Expiration dates must extend beyond one month of the program’s final day.
Each accepted item removes $1.00 of overdue fines from account balances.
A maximum amount of $15.00 will be waived from the balance of overdue fines.
Guidelines
The Food for Fines program applies to overdue fines only. Donations do not affect Lost or Damaged fees, however, it is library policy that, "Lost fees for items returned in good circulating condition within six (6) months of the item being marked lost in the system and have not been replaced will be waived. The Patron is still responsible for overdue fines."
