- About RCLS
The Mt. Enterprise Library originated in 1960. It was located in two small rooms as part of the Mount Enterprise Community Center. Prior to 1960, The Rusk County Library System sponsored a Bookmobile that provided books for smaller communities. Eventually the two-room library could not serve the needs adequately. In 1987, Mr. Floyd Morrow donated the old Merchants State Bank Building to Rusk County and it became known as Morrow Branch Library. Through the wonderful support network of the Friends of the Mt. Enterprise Library and their tireless activities and fundraisers, the Library has moved into a new 8,000 square foot building (Feb. 2015) which supports the Wynell Webb room for public use and educational programs for all ages, adequate library space with additional shelving for a growing collection, a dedicated children’s area, and more computers for public access.
