Buttenbruch Hall and van Gansewinkel Hall
Buttenbruch Hall & Gansewinkel Hall

The USC Main Campus in P. del Rosario St. has two audio visual halls namely Buttenbruch Hall and van Gansewinkel Hall. The Buttenbruch Hall is located on the Ground Floor of the Archbishop Gabriel Reyes Building.

Buttenbruch Hall, dedicated to the memory of Fr.Theodore Buttenbruch, SVD on August 25, 2006, is the renovated Main Campus Audio-Visual Center. It can be a venue for cultural performances with its new dressing room, wide stage and good acoustics. It can comfortably accommodate 240 persons in seats designed for theater viewing.

Fr. Theodore Buttenbruch, SVD, a German by birth, was a global priest by dedication and mission. He established a seminary in Vigan, Ilocos Sur and was the SVD Regional Superior in Manila who assuaged Bishop Gabriel Reyes over the future of Colegio de San Carlos. He accepted the responsibility of administering the college. On December 28, 1934 the Archdiocese turned over the stewardship of the Colegio de San Carlos (CSC) to the SVD through Fr. Theodore Buttenbruch. This set the stage for the SVD management of USC.

It can be a venue for cultural performances, seminars, forums and other like activities with wide stage and good acoustics.
