The Vernon Parish Library Board met in regular session, Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.

Members present were Mrs. Sandra Whitlock, Mrs. Betty Westerchil, Mrs. Gaye McKee, Mrs. Verna Jones and Dr. Otis Biggs. Absent were Mr. Gene Davis and Mrs. Brenda Bealer.

Mrs. Westershil called the meeting to order.

Mrs. McKee led in opening prayer.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Motion made by Dr. Biggs, seconded by Mrs. McKee. Carried.

Mr. Coy presented the financial and statistical reports and the Director’s report.

Under new business, the proposed Behavior Policy was discussed. Motion made by Mrs. McKee, seconded by Mrs. Jones to approve. Carried.

Mrs. Jones made the motion, seconded by Mrs. Whitlock, to declare the Disc-Go-Devil cleaning machine surplus, since it no longer works. Carried.

Dr. Biggs made the motion to recommend to the Police Jury the re-appointment of Mrs. Jones to the Library. Her term expires Dec. 2014. Seconded by Mrs. McKee. Carried.

There being no other business, meeting was adjourned.
