Culpeper County Library Cards

Your Library Card

All ages welcome!

Parent/guardian must sign the application for children under 18.

Get a free library card if you:

Culpeper County or live in a surrounding county with a photo ID or proof of address.

Counties include Albermarle, Fauquier, Green, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland. Also included are the cities of Charlottesville and Fredericksburg. 

Borrowing & Renewals

Borrow up to 99 items per card for 14 days (excluding inter-library loan) with
item limits per card on:

Videogames (4)
DVDs (25)
VoxBooks (3)

Renew eligible items online, in-person, or over the phone up to 5 times,
except for New Books (1 renewal) and DVDs, videogames, & VoxBooks (2)

Fines

We are FINE FREE on most items.

Inter-Library Loan & portable WiFi Hotspots are a $1.00 per day fine.

Borrowing & Internet PC usage may be restricted if your account is exceeds $8.

If an account has an item 50 days late, has a lost, unpaid item, or exceeds $25,
a collection agency may be used.

If you are disabled or you wish to use our on-line services (i.e. databases, Libby, Hoopla, Freading, etc.) and are unable to come into the Library, please click here & fill out our online form and we will mail you a library card to your stated address (residency restrictions stated above apply).

If your card is returned to us in the mail due to an insufficient address, you will be contacted by a staff member.
