How to place a hold:
-
Access our catalog online at www.FunInPutnam.com
-
Search by title, author, or subject in the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the website. You'll then be taken to our dedicated online catalog.
-
When you find a title you'd like to check out, click on the "Place Hold" button. You'll then be prompted to log in.
-
You can also click on the "Log In" button in the upper right hand corner of the catalog screen. From there, you can view your check outs, holds, fines, etc.
-
To log in to your account, you will need your library card number (found on the back of your card under the barcode) and PIN. If you've never logged in before, you may not have a PIN set up. You can set a four-digit PIN number by calling the library. You can always change the PIN later (after you log in) or set up an "EZ Username" and "EZ Password" that only you know. When your hold is available, we'll give you a call. Please make sure we have your updated phone number on file.
-
After that, you can pickup your book during normal operating hours. Please note: if you are requesting a book from one library to be delivered to another, it may take a week or longer. If the book is already checked out to another borrower, it may take much longer as we are extending due dates. Please pick your book up within 3-4 days of the call. If you do not pick your holds up in a timely manner or call us to tell us when you'll be in to pick them up, they will be checked back in and/or given to the next person on the list.
