SC State Park Pass FAQ

How to Checkout: Passes are available to check out to any adult with a valid Greenwood County Library System Card with less than $5 in fines. 

Where to Checkout: Passes can be checked out at any of the branches in the Greenwood County Library System. Just ask at the Circulation Desks.

Checkout Limit: SC State Park Pass per Library Card

Availability: We have a limited number of passes. Wait times for a pass may vary. You can check availability of the park passes and place a hold in our catalog.

Loan Period: 14 days

Holds: You can place a hold on a SC State Park Pass in our catalog. When it is available we will call you, and you will have 3 business days to pick up the pass before it goes back into circulation.

Renewals: SC State Park Passes cannot be renewed. 

When You Go: When entering a SC State Park, make sure you have your SC State Park Pass with you. Have it clearly displayed when entering and parked at the State Park. 

Other Perks: The SC State Park Pass also comes with the following value-added benefits - 

  • Free admission to regularly scheduled historic home tours at Redcliffe, Rose Hill and Hampton plantations (maximum four people per visit)
  • Free admission to the historic lighthouse at Hunting Island State Park (maximum four people per visit)
  • Free admission to the historic Atalaya castle at Huntington Beach State Park (maximum four people per visit)
  • Free weekend admission to the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival held every September at Huntington Beach State Park (maximum four people)
