The South Campus has two audio-visual halls, namely; Fr. Anthony Buchcik Hall for the College level and Fr. Joseph Jaschik Hall is for Basic Education.

Fr. Anthony Buchcik Hall

Fr. Anthony Buchcik Hall is the new addition to the audio visual halls of the university intended for the college level. It is located at the ground floor of Buchcik Building. It was constructed in April-October 2007 . Blessing was made during the university wide Christmas party in December 20,2007. Was named after Fr. Anthony Buchcik , an SVD priest who served as the Dean of the College of Education & at the same time the Director of Music in 1956-to 1965. The whole wing of Teacher Education Center is now called Anthony Buchcik Building.

Equipments/Facilities

The hall houses films, filmstrips, VHS tapes, slides, transparencies, DVDs & CDs. There are also equipment for projected materials, cassette players, karaoke's, sing-along machines, VTR and receiver with camera, television sets, computers and LCD. The hall has a seating capacity of 187 seats, with a separate area for dressing room & 2 exit points.

Collection

The center focuses its acquisition on non-print materials for Teacher education/training in Elementary Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, Secondary Education, Culinary and Textile Arts, Nutrition and Dietetics, and how to teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Filipino, MAPE, Religious Education and Values Education through the recommendation of the faculty, staff & students . The handbook of audio visual materials serves as the printed list while the OPAC as the online list for resources in the different audio visual centers/halls.

Fr. Joseph Jaschik Hall

The Fr. Joseph Jaschik Hall is the audio-visual hall intended for the Basic Education pupils, students, staff and faculty members. It is located at the north side of the building known as the Fr. Joseph Jaschik Wing.

Equipments/Facilities

The Hall has a seating capacity of one hundred fifty (150 seats) with a separate projection room that serves as the office & storage of materials & equipments of the audio-visual center. The hall houses films, filmstrips, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, slides, transparencies, DVD's & CDs. There are corresponding equipment for al projected materials, cassette players, karaokes, sing-along machines, VTR and receiver with camera, television sets, computer and LCD.

Collection

The center has various audio-visual materials for basic education curriculum. Collection and selection of materials are based on the curriculum, professional growth of the faculty members and students� interests . The Union List of Audio-Visual materials serves as a catalog for all materials available in all AV centers in the University to include materials at the Jaschik Hall.

Guidelines on the Use of the A-V Center
